The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 2.82 percent. The market closed the day at 9,299.36 points. Compared to the previous close, the BIST 100 index rose by 254.72 points, with a total trading volume of 183.4 billion Turkish lira. The banking index increased by 1.70 percent, while the holding index gained 2.91 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest gainer with 5.51 percent, and financial leasing factoring recorded the most significant loss at 0.67 percent. Globally, with uncertainties surrounding the U.S. administration’s tariff policies, there is a continued search for direction while the focus shifts to a heavy data agenda. Analysts mentioned that tomorrow the domestic real sector confidence index and capacity utilization rate, along with Japan Central Bank (BoJ) meeting minutes, U.S. new home sales, Ifo business confidence index, consumer confidence index, Richmond Fed manufacturing index, and Germany’s Ifo business confidence index will be closely watched. From a technical standpoint, they noted that the BIST 100 index has resistance at 9,300 and 9,400 points, with support at 9,100 and 9,000 levels.
