In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index decreased by 0.5 percent to 9,902 points in the first half of the day. Showing a downward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index dropped to 9,902.31 points at 13:00, down 49.34 points or 0.5 percent from the previous closing. The total trading volume was 38.7 billion Turkish lira. While the banking index lost 0.82 percent, the holding index gained 0.22 percent. Among sector indices, the financial leasing factoring sector gained the most with 2.31 percent, while the metal main industry sector lost the most with 1.23 percent. In global markets, a mixed course stands out with renewed concerns over the US’s additional customs duties, with focus this week turning to inflation data to be announced in the US. Analysts noted that the data agenda in both domestic and international markets is calm in the afternoon, highlighting that technically the support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,800 and 9,750 points, while the resistance levels are at 9,950 and 10,000 levels.
