The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 1.76% increase, opening at 9,462.68 points. The positive trend continues on the second day of the week in the stock market. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 9,462.68 points, an increase of 163.32 points and 1.76% compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 3.15% and the holding index gained 1.32%. Among the sector indices, banks were the biggest gainers, while securities investment trusts were the only losers with 0.44% decrease. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a buying-weighted trend domestically, ending the day at 9,299.36 points with a 2.82% gain. In global markets, the tariff decisions of US President Donald Trump continue to make it difficult for markets to find direction. Uncertainties regarding the effects of the protectionist trade stance of the US on a global scale, as well as the dilemma of inflation and recession, remain key agendas for economies. Analysts noted that technically, the 9,500 and 9,600 levels are seen as resistance, while 9,400 and 9,300 points are considered support levels in the BIST 100 index.
