At Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index started the day with a 0.07% increase at 9,923.44 points. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 9,923.44 points with an increase of 6.55 points and 0.07% compared to the previous closing. While the banking index gained 0.05%, the holding index lost 0.11%. Among sector indices, mining gained the most with 2.16%, while transportation was the biggest loser with 0.11%. In the domestic market, the BIST 100 index, which followed a buying-weighted trend yesterday, closed the day at 9,916.89 points with a 0.82% gain. In the global markets, concerns about the deepening of trade wars increased with President Donald Trump’s statements aiming to expand tariffs, leading to a mixed trend, with focus on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes from the US Federal Reserve (Fed) today. Analysts noted that from a technical perspective, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,950 and 10,000, while the support levels are at 9,900 and 9,800 points.
