Stock Market Rose in the First Half of the Day

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.57 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 10,481.58 points. Showing an upward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose by 59.34 points and 0.57 percent to 10,481.58 points as of 13:00 compared to the previous closing. The total trading volume was 60.7 billion Turkish lira. While the banking index lost 0.86 percent, the holding index gained 0.4 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 4.96 percent, while textiles leather lost the most with 0.85 percent. In global markets, there is a mixed course with increasing tension in trade due to U.S. tariffs and signals from economic data strengthening recession concerns. Analysts noted that the domestic data agenda is calm in the afternoon, while in the U.S., the JOLTS job openings data will be followed, and from a technical perspective, they highlighted that 10,500 and 10,600 points are resistance levels, while 10,400 and 10,300 levels are support levels for the BIST 100 index.
