The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul began the day with a 0.09% increase at 9,583.73 points.

The stock market started the new day with a flat trend. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 9,583.73 points, an increase of 8.90 points and 0.09% compared to the previous close.

The banking index gained 0.12%, while the holding index rose by 0.33%. Among the sector indices, real estate investment trust gained the most at 0.37%, while sports had the highest losses at 0.89%. After following a sell-off trend domestically yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day at 9,574.83 points, with a 0.28% loss. Uncertainties regarding the trade policy pursued by the US government continue to make price adjustments difficult in global markets, with news on the Russia-Ukraine War being in focus for investors. Furthermore, Borsa Istanbul announced that the up-tick rule for short selling transactions in shares included in the BIST 50 index will continue today as well. Analysts noted that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,700 and 9,750, while the support levels are at 9,500 and 9,400 points.
