The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.13% increase at 9,895.71 points. The stock market opened positively. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.13% to 9,895.71 points, an increase of 12.92 points compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 0.12%, while the holding index increased by 0.22%. Among the sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 3.98%, while sports lost the most with 0.27%. In the domestic market, the BIST 100 index, which followed a buying-weighted trend yesterday, closed the day with a 0.38% gain at 9,882.79 points. In global markets, there was a mixed trend with President Donald Trump’s tariff decisions and Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell’s cautious stance on interest rate cuts. Today, all eyes are on inflation data in the US and Powell’s presentation. Analysts expect a calm data agenda domestically today, while in the international arena, the focus will be on inflation in the US and Powell’s statements. From a technical perspective, they noted that the BIST 100 index has resistance levels at 9,950 and 10,000, with support positioned at 9,800 and 9,750 points.
