According to the Greek State Television ERT, an unidentified person or persons called newspapers and websites to inform them about the explosion that would occur at the central building of Hellenic Train in Athens.

After the specified time, the suspicious bag in the area exploded. The police evacuated the area and started an investigation. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported due to the explosion.
