Sweden’s 126 million euros aid to Ukraine

Sweden announced that they will provide Ukraine with a 126.4 million euro aid package.

Benjamin Dousa, Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, revealed that they will provide 126.4 million euros in aid to Ukraine for reconstruction, development, and urgent humanitarian needs. Ukraine has been receiving support from European countries amid the closeness between the United States and Russia.

During a press conference, Dousa stated, “Support to Ukraine is not only a matter of solidarity but also of Sweden’s security. The past few weeks have been challenging. The support given to Ukraine by the world is now more evident than ever before.”

Described by Dousa as Sweden’s largest civil aid program to date, the aid package includes support for rebuilding infrastructure, mine clearance, and the training of healthcare workers.
