Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat disclosed the formation of a working group in response to the customs duties announced by the USA. Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat mentioned that they have established a working group involving participants from other ministries regarding the customs duties announced by the USA. Bolat, who has been evaluating recent intensified trade diplomacy and international relations, announced that the working group would hold a significant meeting in Ankara today. Minister Bolat stated, “Being vigilant, on alert but not in panic, being prepared, constantly conducting impact analyses by working on the sector-specific effects of new changing decisions based on products, maintaining and spearheading negotiations that will benefit both sides in official meetings, we are currently pursuing these.” He added, “I AM SENDING A FORMAL LETTER” Bolat stated, “We have had contacts at the level of Deputy Trade Ministers with the Deputy Trade Minister of the USA. I am also sending an official letter to the US Trade Minister regarding this matter, and we are seeking negotiations. In fact, the USA has already stated, ‘We are open to negotiations with countries’ regarding these new policies.”
