The offer made by the consortium led by Elon Musk to acquire OpenAI has escalated tension in the world of artificial intelligence. OpenAI stated that no official steps have been taken regarding the mentioned offer. While Musk’s lawyer explained that the offer was sent to a company that provided consultancy services to the company, OpenAI rejected this claim. The disagreement between the parties regarding the official offer persists. AN INFURIATING RESPONSE BY ELON MUSK The response given by CEO Sam Altman to the $97.4 billion offer shook the internet. Sam Altman, in a post from Musk’s social media firm X account, used the words “No, thank you. But if you want, we can buy Twitter for 9.74 billion dollars.”

Elon Musk had co-founded OpenAI with Sam Altman in 2015. However, before the company reached its current value, Musk, who left the project, launched his own artificial intelligence initiative xAI as a rival to OpenAI in 2023.
