TESK issues warning on underground production

TESK President Bendevi Palandöken highlighted an increase in underground products before the month of Ramadan. Palandöken called on citizens to be careful against unhealthy products produced under inappropriate conditions. The President of the Confederation of Turkish Craftsmen and Artisans (TESK), Bendevi Palandöken, issued a warning to citizens about underground production ahead of the month of Ramadan. Palandöken stated, “With inflation, underground production has also increased. So now we must be very careful about the food we eat.” Pointing out an increase in underground production due to inflationary pressure, Palandöken specifically warned against pirate sellers. Palandöken said, “These pirate sellers disregard human health and either set up stands or sell desserts like baklava from the back of their cars. Of course, law enforcement or local authorities follow them, but citizens should not support them.” Advising citizens to shop from reliable places, Palandöken emphasized, “Shopping from a known and trusted vendor is the most important precaution against those playing games with food. Be careful and do not endanger your health.”
