Thousands in the US Protest Trump and Musk

In numerous cities across the US, thousands of people took to the streets to protest against the policies led by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk at the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The growing discontent towards President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), continues in the US. Demonstrations named “Hands off” were held nationwide, with tens of thousands of citizens participating, especially in the capital, Washington, and New York City. At Washington Monument Park, thousands of people gathered, holding American flags along with banners and placards to express their disapproval of the Trump administration’s policies. Protestors voiced their objections to the Trump administration and the practices of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under billionaire Elon Musk’s leadership, chanting slogans like “Hands off democracy,” “Impeach Trump,” “Elon Musk, you’re a traitor,” and “Deport hate.” Despite heavy rain in various locations, protesters in New York City, including Bryant Park, filled the squares as they rallied against the Trump administration. Additionally, a critique was directed towards billionaire Elon Musk’s policies as the head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency. The demonstration in New York reportedly attracted nearly 10,000 participants. According to US media reports, more than 1,200 demonstrations organized by over 150 groups took place nationwide, with nearly 600,000 applications to participate, marking these protests as the largest demonstrations during Trump’s second term to date.
