Protestors voiced their objections to the Trump administration and the practices of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under billionaire Elon Musk’s leadership, chanting slogans like “Hands off democracy,” “Impeach Trump,” “Elon Musk, you’re a traitor,” and “Deport hate.” Despite heavy rain in various locations, protesters in New York City, including Bryant Park, filled the squares as they rallied against the Trump administration. Additionally, a critique was directed towards billionaire Elon Musk’s policies as the head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency. The demonstration in New York reportedly attracted nearly 10,000 participants. According to US media reports, more than 1,200 demonstrations organized by over 150 groups took place nationwide, with nearly 600,000 applications to participate, marking these protests as the largest demonstrations during Trump’s second term to date.
