Thousands of People in Yemen Hold Demonstrations in Support of Gaza

In Yemen, demonstrations were held in 14 cities in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, facing the Israeli genocide. Thousands of Yemenis gathered in 600 squares in cities including the capital Sana’a, El-Hodeidah, Ibb, and Hajjah. Alongside the Palestinian flags, Yemeni flags were also raised. During the demonstration in Sana’a, Yemenis chanted slogans such as “The response of Yemenis to the attacks is steadfast”, “Tell Trump, the attacks will not succeed”, “We will not accept an order that contradicts the command of God”, “You will not subjugate us with attacks”, and “Gaza and Palestine, we are by your side until the Day of Judgment”. The attack carried out by the United States on the Ras Isa Port in Hodeidah was condemned. In a written statement about the demonstrations, it was emphasized that Yemen’s steadfast stance on Gaza and support for the Palestinian people continue, stating that “The American aggression against our country has not achieved any of its goals. Most importantly, it has not been able to break our will and determination.” In a written statement from the Health Ministry affiliated with the Houthis, it was mentioned that 74 people were killed and 171 were injured in the US airstrike on the Ras Isa Port in Hodeidah.
