In the upcoming five years, TikTok is planning to invest $8.8 billion in Thailand. The social media platform announced its investment plan to establish an artificial intelligence data center in the country. By doubling the previously set investment amount, TikTok aims to support the app, which has around 50 million users. Although details of the investment were not disclosed, the plan came after the government approved TikTok’s $3.8 billion investment proposal. Companies like Microsoft, Nvidia, and Apple are also looking to capitalize on the growth potential in the country with a population of 70 million.
