Trump and Zelenski Meet for the First Time After Argument

Following the dispute in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenski met for the first time. President Trump stated, ‘I just concluded a very good phone call.’

US President Donald Trump spoke for the first time after the debate with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenski at the White House. Trump made statements about the meeting, revealing that it lasted approximately an hour and “went very well.” He also noted that a significant part of the conversation was shaped by his phone call the previous day with Russian President Vladimir Putin: “I just completed a very good phone call with Ukrainian President Zelenski. It lasted about an hour. A large part of our discussion was inspired by the phone conversation with President Putin yesterday, focusing on the demands and needs of Russia and Ukraine.” Trump also mentioned, “Our process is progressing quite well, and I will ask Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Michael Waltz to make a statement. This statement will be published soon.” TRUMP-PUTIN MEETING

During the 2.5-hour meeting Trump held with Putin yesterday, it was agreed that 175 war prisoners would be exchanged between Ukraine and Russia and attacks on the energy infrastructure would be halted for 30 days. The exchange of prisoners took place today. It was also reported that during the meeting, Putin suggested organizing a hockey match between the two countries’ teams in the US, a proposal that Trump supported.
