Americans carrying placards reading “No Dictator in America” also criticized Elon Musk with slogans. Meanwhile, protests by Democratic Representatives inside Congress left a mark on Trump’s inaugural speech. Melanie Stansbury held up a sign reading “This is not normal” while President Donald Trump advanced to address the joint session of Congress. House Speaker Al Green also joined those protesting against Trump. Green was removed from the room for interrupting Trump’s speech. Democrats raised banners with the word “wrong” while Trump was speaking. Democratic women wore pink to protest against Trump’s policies towards women. Banners with “lies” were also present in the protests. Trump’s business partner, Elon Musk, also faced criticism. Congress members protested against the American billionaire by stating “Musk is stealing.”
