Trump: Mineral Agreement with Ukraine Could Be Signed Soon

President Trump stated that he expects the signing of a mineral agreement with Ukraine to happen soon. During a meeting with his Cabinet members, Trump mentioned that he anticipates the imminent signing of a revenue-sharing agreement between the US and Ukraine regarding critical minerals in Ukraine. The US delegation met with Ukrainian officials on Sunday and with Russian officials in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, today. While the main focus of the inter-delegation talks is on securing a ceasefire in the Black Sea, Trump emphasized that other issues have also been raised while trying to halt Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine for three years: “Right now, we are discussing land matters. We are discussing border lines. We are discussing the ownership of energy and power plants. Some people are saying the US should own energy plants… because we are experts in this field.”
