Trump’s Statement on Gaza: Gaza Plan is My Plan

US President Donald Trump commented on the issue of Ukrainian negotiations between the US and Russia, stating that he did not believe it was crucial for President Volodymyr Zelensky to participate. When Zelensky mentioned he was not invited to the meeting, Trump said it was not a priority. Regarding the Gaza plan, Trump stated, “The Gaza plan is my plan. The US will take ownership of this region, and there will be no Hamas there.”

During an interview with Fox News Radio, President Trump evaluated the foreign policy agenda and the Russia-Ukraine War.

“THE GAZA PLAN IS MY PLAN” Moreover, Trump made a statement about the plan for the US to take over and rebuild Gaza. Trump mentioned, “I will tell you how to do it. The Gaza plan is my plan. I think this is a plan that truly works. But I’m not pushing it; I am simply suggesting it. The US will take ownership of this region, and there will be no Hamas. Then we will develop it.” Trump expressed that they provide billions in support to Egypt and Jordan each year and expressed surprise when those countries did not fully support his plan. He stated that he believed they would eventually make a deal with these countries. President Trump said, “I believe my plan is good. You take them out and put them somewhere else, build beautiful and lasting places, and then take the Gaza Strip.”

“I DON’T THINK ZELENSKY’S PARTICIPATION IN NEGOTIATIONS IS IMPORTANT” Trump mentioned that negotiations that began in Saudi Arabia to end the Russia-Ukraine war would continue with the possibility of reaching an agreement with Russia eventually. Regarding why Zelensky was not invited to the talks in Riyadh, Trump noted that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent visited Kiev but only had “a wasted conversation” and regretted it. Trump evaluated, “Honestly, I don’t think it was crucial for Zelensky to participate in the negotiations. Because he has done a very bad job so far in the negotiations.” Trump argued that if the people in the Gaza Strip were given the right to choose, they would want to leave the region, highlighting the area’s attractiveness. He wondered why Israel relinquished control of the area.

“BIDEN AND ZELENSKY BOTH SAID MANY WRONG THINGS” Dismissing criticism from the media, Trump indicated that when he says “This is not Russia’s fault,” he receives backlash. He asserted that Biden and Zelensky both said many wrong things and were then attacked by someone stronger. Trump claimed that Putin did not have to negotiate a deal and could have taken over the entire country if he wanted. Trump stated that he believed the US and Russia could reach an agreement to end the war, emphasizing that it would be in the interest of all countries.

“ZELENSKY HAS NO CARDS IN HAND” Trump argued that Zelensky lacked strong arguments to end the Russia-Ukraine War, suggesting that Putin had more leverage. Trump expressed his frustration with Zelensky’s lack of bargaining power and stated that Russia would have continued advancing in Ukraine if he had not been involved in the negotiations. Trump vowed to continue negotiations with Russia to end the war while criticizing European countries for not taking action to stop the conflict.
