Trump’s Statement on the German Elections

Following the declaration of victory by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU/CSU) parties in the general election in Germany, U.S. President Donald Trump assessed it as a “great day for Germany and the United States under the leadership of gentleman named Donald Trump.” Trump stated on the Truth Social platform that it seemed like the Christian Union parties won in the German elections. Noting that the German people, like the United States, are tired of the agenda devoid of common sense, particularly on energy and migration issues that has prevailed for many years, Trump used the words “A great day for Germany and the United States under the leadership of gentleman named Donald Trump.” Trump shared the message of “Congratulations to everyone. To more victories.” The Chancellor candidate Friedrich Merz of the Christian Union parties (CDU/CSU), who ranked first in the early general elections in Germany, had declared his victory.
