BREAKING NEWS: An agreement has been signed between BOTAŞ and Turkmen Gas to facilitate the arrival of Turkmen gas to Turkey. Starting from March 1st, Turkey will begin purchasing natural gas from Turkmenistan.

Breaking news! Turkey is set to purchase natural gas from Turkmenistan. The announcement came from Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar.

“We have taken a historic step in the Turkey-Turkmenistan energy cooperation. We have signed an agreement between BOTAŞ and Turkmen Gas to ensure the arrival of Turkmen gas to our country,” said Alparslan Bayraktar, stating that gas flow is scheduled to begin from March 1, 2025 under the agreement. Bayraktar added, “With this agreement that we have been working on for many years, we will strengthen the natural gas supply security of our country and region, while advancing the strategic cooperation between the two countries.”
