Turkish Lira’s real value dropped after 5 months

A moderate decrease was observed in the real value of the Turkish Lira in February after 5 months. The real effective exchange rate index decreased by 0.34 points to 74.96 in February.
According to the provisional data published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the real effective exchange rate index decreased by 0.34 points to 74.96 compared to the previous month based on the CPI. The index was at 75.30 in January 2025.
During this period, the real effective exchange rate index based on WPI-CPI decreased by 0.71 points from 99.01 to 98.30. The value of the Turkish lira increased by 12.01 points based on the CPI compared to the same period last year, and by 7.45 points based on the WPI-CPI.
