Turkish Salmon Exports Surpass 84 Million Dollars

According to the data from the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB), Turkish salmon, which are transferred to cages in the Black Sea after reaching a certain weight in inland farms, found buyers in 20 countries in the period from January to March. In this context, Turkey exported 11,899 tons of salmon in the first quarter of the year, generating a revenue of $84,406,690. During this period, the Russian Federation, the United States, and Japan were the top three countries where Turkish salmon was exported. In the January-March period, Turkey exported salmon worth $74,037,993 to the Russian Federation, $2,382,754 to the United States, and $1,233,111 to Japan. Unlike the first quarter of the previous year, Turkish salmon exports were also made to Azerbaijan during this time.
