As part of the conference, the British government has pledged to provide humanitarian aid of up to 160 million pounds (7.6 billion Turkish Lira) this year to support Syria’s recovery process after Bashar al-Assad.
A statement from the UK Foreign Office mentioned that the country will commit to a “critical aid promise of up to 160 million pounds.”
The statement also included the following: “We will assist in providing critical aid, such as water, food, healthcare, and education to Syrians by 2025.”
The subject of a one-day meeting led by EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas in Brussels is set to focus on the reconstruction of Syria and aid to be sent to the country from Europe.
