Following the controversial Trump-Zelensky meeting at the White House, officials from Ukraine and the US came together in Saudi Arabia. The meeting resulted in a 30-day ceasefire plan. The US and Ukrainian Foreign Ministries met in Jeddah, the capital of Saudi Arabia, yesterday. During the meeting, Ukraine expressed readiness to immediately implement a temporary 30-day ceasefire proposal. The ceasefire could be extended by mutual agreement of the parties and subject to simultaneous implementation by Russia. The US also stated that it would lift restrictions on intelligence sharing with Kyiv immediately and restart security assistance to Ukraine.

The first comments on the ceasefire plan came from US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. Russia also made notable remarks.
