Vice President Yılmaz’s statement on retirement bonuses

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that the bonus increase for retirees will not be discussed at the Economic Coordination Council.
The attention of millions of retirees is focused on the increase in holiday bonuses.
It had been speculated that the issue of retirement holiday bonuses could be discussed at the Economic Coordination Council on February 21st. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that retirement bonuses will not be on the agenda during the Economic Coordination Council (ECC) meeting. Answering questions from journalists before the AK Party Group Meeting, Yılmaz used the phrase “Retirement bonus will not be discussed at the ECC. This meeting is about regional development.” This year’s holiday bonuses will be deposited into accounts in March and June. Last year, holiday bonuses were increased to 3,000 liras and a total payment of 6,000 liras was made to retirees.
