OpenAI is planning to integrate the artificial intelligence-supported video creation tool, Sora, into ChatGPT. If this project comes to life, users will be able to directly create cinematic videos through the chatbot. OpenAI is looking to combine its model, Sora, which is known for its video creation feature, with ChatGPT, the world’s most popular artificial intelligence chatbot. According to a report by Maxwell Zeff, senior officials of the company confirmed the project during a meeting with Discord employees. Rohan Sahai, the Product Lead of Sora at OpenAI, mentioned that they aim to make video creation tools more accessible in the future by integrating them into more platforms. Sahai stated that they are working on making Sora accessible within ChatGPT, and although they have successfully merged the two products, the release date is yet to be determined. ChatGPT is currently capable of generating images based on verbal commands with the help of OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 model. With the integration of Sora, it is anticipated that the images produced by the chatbot, aside from creating videos, will be even more photorealistic, thus elevating the platform to a new level.
