Following the announcement of the inflation data for the month of March, the attention of civil servants and retirees is now turned towards the 3-month inflation difference. Working civil servants, as well as retirees under SSK and Bağ-Kur, receive inflation adjustments on their salaries twice a year in January and July. With the third inflation data of the year, March inflation, now known, civil servants and retirees have begun to calculate the rate of increase they will receive in July. The amount of the 3-month inflation difference, revealed with the announcement of the March inflation data by TÜİK, is now being questioned by millions of civil servants and retirees. Civil servants who receive adjustments based on inflation difference and collective agreement increases twice a year, and retirees whose adjustments will be determined by the inflation difference, are now calculating the rate of increase they will receive in July 2025 with the announcement of the third inflation data of 2025. So, how much is the 3-month inflation difference? Here are the salary increase rates for civil servants and retirees based on the 3-month inflation difference. According to the data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the monthly inflation in March was announced as 2.46 percent. Accordingly, SSI and Bağ-Kur retirees have already earned the 10.06 percent inflation difference for March 2025. The inflation difference to be received by civil servants was announced as 3.83 percent. This increase, which will be reflected in the salaries in July 2025, will be calculated cumulatively based on the monthly inflation rate announced each month. In addition to the collective agreement raise, civil servants and civil service retirees are receiving an inflation difference. According to the collective agreement raise, civil servants and civil service retirees will receive the second raise for the year 2025 in July. As of the end of March, this rate has exceeded 3.83 percent. The net rate will be determined after the announcement of the inflation data for April, May, and June. With the addition of 5 percent from the 7th Period Collective Agreement to the 3.83 percent inflation difference, a total cumulative increase of 9.03 percent will occur.
