The CBRT announced that it will hold 8 MPC meetings in 2025 according to the calendar it declared in December. The Bank will announce the interest rate decision at the 2nd MPC meeting of this year on March 6, 2025. WHAT WAS THE INTEREST RATE DECISION IN JANUARY? The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank announced the first interest rate decision of the year on January 23, 2025. Accordingly, the MPC reduced the policy rate, the one-week repo auction interest rate, by 250 basis points to 45%. CBRT 2025 MEETING SCHEDULE The third meeting of the year will be held on April 17, and there will be no meeting in May. MPC meetings will take place on June 19 and July 24. There will be no meeting in August. After meetings on September 11 and October 23, there will be no meeting in November. The last meeting of the year will be held on December 11, 2025.
