Why do men commit more murders?

David Wilson, Emeritus Professor of Criminology at Birmingham City University, warned that male killers tend to target older women and sex workers. He also suggested that some social media figures play a role in these crimes. Revealing that many murders in England are committed on Friday and Saturday nights, the 57-year-old professor emphasized the need to address murders as a ‘male issue.’ He stated, ”These individuals act when they feel disrespected.” David Wilson also pointed out that young people can be influenced by certain social media figures while committing crimes, mentioning Andrew Tate as one of those figures. Known for his scandalous views on women and men, Tate is idolized among young males.
Tate, 38, faced charges for human trafficking and sexual abuse in Romania in December 2021, and the trial is ongoing. Denying all allegations, including those of child trafficking, Andrew Tate deals with a number of legal issues. Professor Wilson noted that serial killers often kill their victims with extraordinary force and enjoy deciding who lives and who dies. He mentioned that serial killers often target women over 60 and sex workers. Wilson also highlighted the influence of rising homophobia in society on the occurrence of such murders, advocating for various educational programs for men in their 10s and 20s to improve their social relationships.
