In his post, Minister Işıkhan stated that “Payments for citizens with account information in the system will be made through banks, while payments for citizens without account information will be made through PTT.” To be eligible for unemployment benefits, you must have worked as an insured for at least 600 days (approximately 1.5 years) within the last three years. If you meet this requirement, you can apply for unemployment benefits through the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR). After completing the necessary documents for unemployment benefit application, you can apply to İŞKUR. When applying for unemployment benefits, you must submit documents such as identification, documents confirming your departure from the job (such as dismissal letter, separation notice), SGK service certificate (last 4 months), and documents showing the reason for your unemployment benefit request (dismissals, resignations, temporary unemployment, etc.).
