Young Scientist’s Body Found Dismembered in a Suitcase

The body of Italian-born scientist Alessandro Coatti, who worked in London, was discovered dismembered inside a suitcase.
It was reported that the suitcase containing the body of the young scientist had been thrown into a stream near the city of Santa Marta in the Caribbean. Police stated that Alessandro Coatti’s hands, feet, and head had been located, but the torso was still missing.
Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello of Santa Marta announced that a cash reward would be given to those who assist in capturing the perpetrators of the murder. Cuello stated, “This crime will not go unpunished. We will search for the killers until justice is served.”
The identity of Alessandro Coatti, who was presumed to be on vacation in the area, was determined thanks to the hotel wristband found on his body. Alessandro Coatti’s work mainly focused on animal rights and ethical research and innovation in the biomedical field. Employed at the Royal Society of Biology since 2017, Alessandro Coatti had previously conducted postgraduate research in neuroscience at University College London.
