Zelensky proposes “land swap” to end the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested a “land swap” to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the Moscow administration would reject all proposals related to the “land swap”. Speaking to the British newspaper The Guardian, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a “land swap” to end the Russia-Ukraine war that began on February 24, 2022. Zelensky said, “We can swap one land for another.” Zelensky reported that certain areas under Ukrainian military control in the Kursk region of Russia could be exchanged with the regions occupied by Russia in Ukrainian territories. Zelensky stated, “I don’t know which part of our land under Russian occupation we will demand back. But all of our lands are important, there is no priority.”

RESPONSE FROM THE KREMLIN
A response to Zelensky came from Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. Peskov announced that the Moscow administration would reject all proposals related to the “land swap”. Peskov said, “This is impossible. Russia has never discussed and will never discuss land exchange.” Peskov noted that Ukrainian troops would be removed from these lands, saying, “Everyone who cannot be destroyed will be expelled.”
